As a graduate student at Duke University, I conducted research for my master’s degree thesis into how people cope after the death of a loved one in a motor vehicle crash in North Carolina. The research protocol was reviewed by the Duke University Institutional Review Board.

Sudden death in a motor vehicle crash is an unexpected, violent and tragic death that happens in a routine moment of time, forever altering the life of loved ones left behind, and I am honored to be able to share the stories of people with these experiences.
